MISSION-Diversion and Recovery for Traumatized Veterans (MISSION-DIRECT VET) was a 12 month MISSION intervention for incarcerated veterans with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. These participants were offered MISSION services in lieu of jail time in order to address and treat their co-occurring disorders.
Launched in 2015, MISSION-Cape aims to address the high rates of co-occurring disorders on Cape Cod, which holds a federal designation as a Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA). To accomplish this goal, MISSION-Criminal Justice services are offered as a wrap-around treatment option to clients participating in the Barnstable Drug Court.
