The MISSION Model is an evidence-based outpatient treatment program for co-occurring substance use and mental health conditions. Care is provided by a Case Manager and a Peer Support Specialist, and focuses on helping patients establish long-term recovery. MISSION services are delivered in-home or in the community and provided free of charge. MISSION is part of the Department of Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, MA and is implemented in 16 U.S. states and several international locations. MISSION has been in use for more than 27 years and is one of the most respected evidence-based programs in the world.
